If you’ve been reading the blog for awhile, you know that I’m a frugal gal who loves a good deal. I try to get as much done as I can, while spending as little as I can. Decorating is, like, SO fun and I was so excited for the holiday season that I had my tree up before Thanksgiving. Judge me, IDC.
Even though I’m zealous about this time of the year, I still didn’t want to buy expensive decor especially when it’d be stashed away in just a couple of months. I also enjoy thrifting but I didn’t have the time to run around town hunting for crazy markdowns. I wound up improvising but I pulled it off for less than $50! I’ve decorated on the “dime” before (read about it here) and am sharing my ways with you all over again! Let’s get to it, shall we?
I’ve been candid about how long it took me to furnish my apartment after moving to a new state with pretty much nothing. I’ve been blessed financially but I’m always still searching for a deal before before spending money. And of course when decorating my place I wanted some original art pieces (uh hello, my blog name is The QUIRK Life).
My place isn’t completely decorated but it’s come a long way in the last 6 months and I want to share what I’ve learned. Here are 6 ways that I’ve saved money while getting my place in order.
Wow, it’s been been almost six months since I moved to GA and signed the lease on my lovely apartment. One problem though. My walls have been bare! No photos, no art…just paint. I really didn’t want to spend a small fortune trying to decorate the place. And then all of a sudden my internal creative awakened from her deep slumber. I got on Pinterest and started searching!
