Balancing Your Blog with a Day Job

If you’re a blogger or aspiring to become one, you might have a particular glory day in mind. It’s that moment when you walk out of your day job, free to focus on your blog full time because it’s bringing in enough money to support your lifestyle. Ah, a glorious day indeed!

A lot of bloggers have this dream. It looks like a glamorous life. Publishing blog posts, meeting up with other bloggers for lunch, traveling, having thousands of followers and hosting webinars. When you post a pic of your dog on IG it gets 10K likes – that’s big time influencer status right there!

Are you there yet? If not, let’s raise out hands in unison. Let me be clear, it is possible to be a full time blogger without the dramatics above. And I fully understand that not everyone wants to be a full time blogger. Until you get to full time status, however, you’re likely juggling running your blog while working a day job. 2015 Recap!

The Quirk Life’s first post of the year! I can’t believe I’m doing this – reflecting on 2015. Wow. I’ve learned a lot and been through quite a bit in my personal life. You have to take the bad with the good. One of my highlights was launching The Quirk Life. I toyed around with the idea of blogging for awhile. In the end, I feel like I waited too long, but still released at the right time. Think about it.
