My End of Summer Snatchback

Uh oh, I’m late! It was supposed to be here by now!

My summer body that is! Jeez, what did you think I was talking about?

Same thing happened last year. And the year before that. When it comes to eating healthy and exercising, I’m either doing great or I’m doing terribly. There’s not much grey area for me. I’ve been getting back into healthier habits for a few weeks, but decided that it’s time to turn up the heat.

So I am making a conscious effort to get myself in better shape by the end of this month. And here is how I plan to do it…

It all starts in the kitchen. I know that a healthy diet is the number one factor in remaining healthy. But guess what? I love ice cream. And biscuits. And ice cream cake. And Cinnabons. So as with anything, it took time for me to permanently form better eating habits. One way I’m staying on track in August – a meal plan.

One of my bestest friends Tamarah made one up just for lil ol me. It’s personalized based on what I like and is easy to follow. There are also notes in there to keep me away from certain things.

Flush the system. I’m trying Total Life Changes Iaso Detox Tea for a few days. I have been seeing a lot of posts about it and after doing a bit of research decided to give it a try. Just moving. I’ll still be working out multiple times a week. I’m going to focus mainly on cardio for the time being. Biking, swimming, Zumba – exercise doesn’t have to feel like a chore. I get fit in ways that are also fun to me.


The enforcer. That’s my personal trainer, who just happens to be an ex Washington Redskins player. Now now, I know that there might be some passionate NFL fanatics reading this. Don’t bash my home team though! Lol, moving on…

Ladies: he is tall, handsome and SINGLE. After one session with him, I was hooked. It wasn’t just the exercises that drew me in. It was the stretching. I never had someone actually stretch my body for me. It’s amazing I tell you! And it really helped with muscle fatigue/soreness over the following days.
