We all have that one person in our lives. When the time comes to get them a present they always say “you don’t have to get me anything.” But you really want to. So then you have to use your own imagination to come up with an awesome present.
No? Just me? I enjoy giving thoughtful gifts to the people that I love! So I analyze many different factors to come up with the perfect gift. Realistic, right? But what do you get for the person that seems to have everything? Don’t worry I’m here to help you figure it out.
Anything with an inscription or monogram is great and the possibilities are endless. An apron, phone case, cutting board, flask and robe are just a few to get you going. Original gifts like these are unisex and the personalized touch always adds bonus points. It shows that you didn’t grab the first thing you saw, but that you took time to choose a gift just for them.
HELP THEM BE ON TIME
With a watch. No it doesn’t have to be a Rolex! Just make sure it’s nice. Function and fashion rolled together. Just make sure you know the recipient’s style before choosing this gift.
SUPPORT THEIR HOBBY
If your friend is into a particular hobby, frame a gift around that. For example: a person who loves to read might enjoy a pack of spunky bookmarks. *raises hand up really high*
FOR THE PALATE
In my opinion, always a winner. This could be chocolate, a homemade cake, a set of special seasonings or a unique cooking utensil. If your recipient is a foodie, they’ll be grateful for anything that’s food related.
COLD WEATHER ESSENTIALS
Hats, scarves, gadget friendly gloves and hand warmers.
I Some people often misplace these things and having a backup will never go unappreciated. Again, know your recipient’s fashion style before attempting a gift like this. But get a gift receipt just in case.
The answer for every kind of person. I use these as a last resort because it’s not as sentimental for me. I’m a sap for this kind of thing so sentiment is good. To make it more personal, get a gift card specific to a place that the recipient might like. For example: if they like fishing, get them a card to a bass pro shop, if they’re into shoes get a gift card to a shoe store – you get the picture.
There’s always a gift idea floating out there to satisfy even the hardest person to shop for. Sometimes you have to put in effort to get it just right, but seeing the joy on their face when they open it – satisfying and priceless. For me anyway!
DON’T FORGET! There’s still time to enter the giveaway for a $50 Walmart gift card and holiday scented candle! More details are here but you can enter using the form below. Come on, you know you want that gift card! Good luck!
Do you put as much thought into gifts as I do? Or do you prefer to keep things simple? Do you shop far in advance or wait until the last minute?
