The journal cover is nothing but the truth. The older I get, the faster time seems to pass by. When someone figures out why this is and how we can stop it – please let me know. Can you believe it’s basically December? I know I can’t!
Since I’m unable to slow down time I decided to make a monthly bucket list. I think bucket lists in general are good – things that you want to do before you die. But a monthly list can make things feel more tangible. Like you can actually plot to get them done instead of waiting for a major epiphany in life before acting on them. So here is what would make December awesome for me.
-Get more apartment furniture. Top of the list: a couch or bar stools!
-Improve The Quirk Life. I’m taking an online course by Helene and it’s been paying off so far.
-Go home and create new memories for Christmas. I think by the end of the month I’ll really miss my family.
-Build a social life. I’ve been hermit since my move and I really need to get out and make some new associates!
-Write 62 pages in my novel. That’s only 2 pages a day. I’m getting towards the end of the book so hopefully I can wrap it up and start looking into publishing options in 2016. THIS excites me.
See, nothing out of this world. Just things that would bring me happiness and make me feel like I’m making some progress in life. I’ve decided not to buy any Christmas decorations this year. I know I know, awww. I can go overboard when buying decorations, needing to have everything that makes my eyes sparkle. This year I’ll put that money towards the furniture and buy accents for Christmas 2016. I am, however, going to take advantage of a Christmas sale or two once the year comes to a close. There is one holiday decoration in particular that I’m going to use year round. You’ll see!
What things do you have planned for December? Have you started working on any of your 2016 goals yet?
